Hello Readers,
Autumn is right around the corner! Its cool temperatures and gentle breezes certainly will be welcome relief after the hazy, hot and humid days of summer. Besides, the beginning of each season is always a refreshing change.
Speaking of change, let’s get to the new writings for September on my website .

Education
With school back in session, parents and teachers are meeting for the first time to discuss expectations on both sides. Since this situation can sometimes be awkward or uncomfortable for parents, I’ve written an article entitled, “A Teacher’s Tips for Talking to Your Child’s Teacher,” offering some ways to ease the relationship. You’ll find the link on my blog page. After all, parents and teachers should be on the same side — the side of assisting the child in learning and enjoying the process. I hope this article helps. Let me know!
Also, did you know that one influential factor in getting learning off to a good start is summer reading, particularly when students have chosen the books themselves? And speaking of getting things off to a good start, one New Jersey high school has upperclassmen who serve almost as ambassadors to incoming freshman, helping them adapt to their new surroundings.
Meanwhile, once school is underway, some schools have begun programs in which students assist each other with homework, via Facebook, while other schools have decided that homework is no longer even important enough to grade.
Of course, you know all about these issues if you read the August blogs. So stop by each week and read the ones for September.

The saying, “All good things must come to an end,” while true, is still not always easy to accept. We enjoy the blessings in life, and when they’re gone, it’s difficult to move past the feeling of loss.
This month’s Christian Living article, “After the Loss,” is a reminder that the Lord is there even amidst great loss.
