Denise's January Newsletter

01/01/2010

Hello, Readers

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
January is here and, as always, what I like most about this month is the sense of anticipation about all the good things the year might hold. On the other hand, January is also a cold and dreary month that makes me want to stay indoors!

If you also prefer the warmth and coziness of your home at this time of year, then take some time to check out my website while you’re home.(You knew I’d work that in somehow, didn’t you?)

Are you looking forward to 2010 as much as I am? I just know it’s going to be a great year.

BOOK NEWS
My social studies book of high school projects and activities is underway. Look for more information on a publication date and other details in upcoming editions of this newsletter.

BIOGRAPHY
What do you most enjoy about winter? And what activities warm your heart during the winter months? Check out my favorites on the biography page, and then send me an e-mail about your favorites.

BLOG
The blog is back! After a brief break for Christmas, the blog returns on January 4, continuing our weekly discussion of interesting education topics. I want to know what you think—which is why I named that page “What do you think?”—so, make a resolution to voice your opinions and concerns on these topics this year.

ARTICLES
Speaking of resolutions, the January Christian living article is all about making resolutions. Do you usually make any? If so, do you stick to them? After you read this article, leave a message at the bottom letting me know how you feel about this topic.

YOUR COMMENTS
I always enjoy reading your comments. Please continue to express your thoughts, ideas and suggestions about the contents of my website—those comments spur me on!

Happy 2010!
