Denise's November Newsletter

11/01/2009

Hello, Readers

Do you know what’s so great about November? Besides the delicious turkey and all the trimmings, the spectacular parade with the huge balloons and the ever-present football games, it’s the time of year to give thanks. I love that we all do it together—the same day, the same time—yet in our own way.

So, have a wonderful, gratitude-filled Thanksgiving Day!

BIOGRAPHY
It’s not so much the details of my life that changed, but rather the photos that accompany them. As regular readers know, I maintain a photographic list of my favorite things and change the photos periodically. Well, it’s time to check out the new ones. And, by the way, what are some of your favorite things?

BLOG
Just as October included our discussion of technology in a bracelet, transferring effective teachers, “no zero” policies and the significance of effort in students’ overall success, the November topics will bring no end to controversial (and lively) exchanges. Join the discussion each week as we delve into new educational terrain and voice our strong opinions.

ARTICLES
As you might expect from the opening of this newsletter, my November article is entitled “Gratitude.” As difficult as 2009 has been for so many people, we can still find reasons to be thankful. Check out my reasons and then tell me yours at the bottom of the article.

NEWSLETTER
If you’ve received this newsletter, then you’re already a subscriber and I thank you very much! If you’re not a subscriber, why not? There’s always something going on at my website, but how will you know unless you subscribe? Of course, you can stop by frequently to find out what we’re up to, but if you subscribe you’ll receive a hint on the first of each month. So, what are you waiting for?

YOUR FEEDBACK
I enjoy every e-mail that I receive. Please keep them coming with your comments, suggestions and even criticisms; I want to hear it all.
